Mary Edith (Wilden) Hawk © Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home December 2012 Submitted by: Martha Real Mary Edith Hawk, daughter of John and Betty (Rooster) Wilden was born March 18, 1926 in Dewey, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on December 21, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 3 days.
She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She loved to going to auctions, sewing and spending time with her family especially her kids and grandkids. She made pies for the Stilwell Café for many years and was often referenced as the “Pie Lady” around town. She also worked for Stilwell Foods for 32 years. Mary was of the Holiness Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Sam Hawk, 1 son; Marlin Hawk, grandsons; Michael Morton and Charley Dewayne Johnson Jr., and siblings; Leon Wilden, Ruth Hindmon, Jesse Wilden, Robert Wilden and Betty Smith.
Mary is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Mary Lou Hummingbird and husband James of Stilwell, OK, Jimmy Hawk and wife Delorse of Sallisaw, OK, Louise Byrd and husband Ron of Stilwell, OK, Richard Hawk of Glenpool, OK, Rebecca Morton and husband Michael of Stilwell, OK, Virginia Clouser and husband Justin of Las Vegas, NV, and Carl Hawk and wife Judy of Van Buren, AR. 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 sister; Bessie Raley of Muskogee, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro: Larry Swafford officiating.Interment followed in the Feathers Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
