Linda Kay Catcher

İRoberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home

July 19, 1961 ~ November 15, 2021

Submitted by Jan Grooms

Linda Kay Catcher, known by family and friends as Kay, received her angel wings on November 15, 2021, at the age of 60 years, 3 months, and 27 days old.Kay was born on July 19, 1961, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Willard and Wanda (Wilhite) Catcher.

She loved bargain shopping and was always on the lookout for a good garage sale. She would brag about the good deals she would get. Kay loved to cook, even though her nephew would remind her of the times she may have not cooked that chicken all the way. Kay also enjoyed her garden and flowers. She had a heart for others and especially her momma - she would check in on her every day to make sure she was doing okay. Kay had two nephews that she loved, Greg and Brad. When Greg got married, she welcomed Michelle into the family, and when their family grew, giving her two great-nieces, Hannah, and Madeline, she spoiled and loved them well. Kay’s love for others came from her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord, and it showed in how she treated others. When she was able to attend church, she made sure she knew and met people. She was faithful to attend when she could and to listen when she couldn’t be there in person. She trusted the Lord even though the past couple of years had been difficult health-wise for her. She had even said recently that she trusted herself into God’s hands.

Kay is preceded in death by her daddy: Willard Catcher, and her brother-in-law: Ken Adair.

Kay is survived by her loving family her mother: Wanda (Wilhite) Catcher; her sisters: Karen Curnutte of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Judy Catcher-Adair of Cookson, Oklahoma; her nephew: Greg Curnutte and his wife Michelle, and their two daughters: Hannah and Madeline of Sugar Land, Texas; her nephew: Brad Adair of Cookson, Oklahoma; her niece: Denae Catron of Arkansas; one aunt: Dorothy Workman of Stilwell, Oklahoma; as well as many other family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Samuel Ketcher and Bro. Greg Curnutte officiating.  Interment followed at Ewing Chapel Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
