Lillie Mae Ketcher Calhoon, daughter of Henry Isaacs and Bertha (Jernagan) Isaacs, was born on December 11, 1919 in Hazel Valley, Arkansas and departed this life on Friday, October 25, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 14 days.
She helped support her family as a nurse. Lillie retired from nursing at the age of 78. She then focused her energy on her large family. She enjoyed her family, attending her grandchildren’s school functions. Lillie was an excellent cook and liked cooking for friends and family. She lived a full, happy life and touched the hearts of many people. Many people will remember her gentle touch and warm smile as their Nurse and the good care they received.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husbands: Henry Ketcher and George Calhoon, parents: Henry and Bertha Isaacs, brothers: Roland Isaacs, Dewey Isaacs, Garland Isaacs, sister: Floy Bell Clinton.
She leaves behind a large, loving family that includes her children: Lucille Lacie and husband Wayne of Stilwell, OK, Louise Gregory and husband Elmer of Goodyear, AZ, Shirley Holland and husband Chris of Hulbert, OK, grandchildren: Darrell Lacie and wife Debby, Lisa Caddick and husband Ron, Dan Lacie, all of Stilwell, Katie Caplan and husband Todd of New York City, NY, Dana Dale and husband Peter of Goodyear, AZ, Kevin Gregory and wife Michelle of Ft. Worth, TX, Tony Barker of Cookson, OK, Melanie Risenhoover and husband Chris of Stigler, OK, 15 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, brothers: Norman Isaacs and wife Pat of Stilwell, Major Lee Isaacs of Tongonoxie, Kansas, sisters: Josephine Black of Woodland, CA, Myrtle Coombs of Fresno, CA, Betty Doyle and husband Ray of Stilwell, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services at 2 pm on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Darrell Lacie officiating. Interment followed at Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
